You want a workable pocket, not a famous coordinate: reachable patrols, fresh veins, room to move, and fewer people racing you for every target.
Frostfire Expansion · Patrols & Opening Routes
The textbook answer is easy: kill patrols, build RRLLR, take fresh veins. The useful answer is knowing how to do that while everyone else is trying to eat the same limited supply.
You want a workable pocket, not a famous coordinate: reachable patrols, fresh veins, room to move, and fewer people racing you for every target.
Patrol XP builds your skill tree, but a patrol you lose after a long march is worth nothing. Favor targets you can realistically beat other players to.
Fresh veins still have their guard attached. Clearing the guard and then occupying the vein gives you more scoring opportunity than returning to a vein whose patrol is already gone.
Do not fall in love with one little patch of map. As nearby patrols and fresh veins disappear, widen the loop or relocate when the move will actually improve your options.
The scarcity problem
A crowded match can make the ideal route impossible. The mistake is responding by spending minutes teleporting, marching, and losing races while earning nothing. Search with a purpose. If the next move does not materially improve your access to patrols or fresh veins, mine something productive and keep watching for the next opening.
When should I move?
Your pocket is stripped, nearby targets are repeatedly being taken before you arrive, and another area clearly has better density.
You still have productive veins and reachable targets. An imperfect pocket that is scoring is not automatically a bad pocket.
Your march keeps arriving late. Shorten the radius, mine while you scan, and quit donating time to somebody else's patrol route.
Frost Rule
RRLLR is still the goal. Fresh patrol-and-vein loops are still better. But if the lobby will not give you either, keep earning while you adapt. Do not sit around doing fuck-all waiting for Frostfire to become a private server.
